Meet the Artist

Hello!

I’m Niki, an artist who enjoys blending light and dark to create something truly unique. My work features skulls crowned with flowers, skeleton fairies, ethereal butterflies, and the quiet beauty of nature. I paint whatever inspires me, whether it’s a moonlit marionette breaking free, a mischievous ghost named Ghosty and his cat Hex, or a dreamy mix of fantasy and reality.

I've been creating art since childhood, spending hours drawing and experimenting with different styles in school, though most of my skills are self-taught. In my 20s, I rediscovered my love for painting and fell in love with acrylics, which have been my medium of choice ever since.

As a military spouse, I have had the opportunity to live in different parts of the world, from the United States to Korea and Germany. Experiencing different cultures has shaped my artistic style, infusing my work with elements of history, nature, and the beautifully strange.

Beyond painting, I love traveling, music, anime, K-dramas, video games, and other creative hobbies like photography, crocheting, model painting, and digital art. I also have a passion for reading and the world of books. My husband and I own Twisted Tree Publishing, a small publishing company where I proofread and edit books. Creativity runs through both of us. While I express mine through art, he brings his to life through words and the novels he writes.
