Meet the Artist

Hello!

I’m Niki, an artist who enjoys blending light and dark to create something truly unique. My work features skulls crowned with flowers, skeleton fairies, ethereal butterflies, and the quiet beauty of nature. I paint whatever inspires me, whether it’s a moonlit marionette, a mischievous ghost named Ghosty and his bestie Hex, or a dreamy mix of fantasy and reality.

I've been creating art since childhood, spending hours drawing and experimenting with different mediums and styles, though most of my skills are self-taught. In my 20s, I rediscovered my love for painting and fell in love with acrylics, which have been my medium of choice ever since.

Life as a military spouse has taken me from the U.S. to Europe and to Korea, with each place adding new inspiration to my artistic journey. Traveling and exploring unfamiliar places continues to spark my imagination and creativity.

Beyond painting, I love music, anime, K-dramas, video games, and other creative hobbies like photography, crocheting, model painting, and digital art. I also have a passion for reading and the world of books. My husband and I own Twisted Tree Publishing, a small publishing company where I proofread, format, and edit books. Creativity runs through both of us. While I express mine through art, he brings his to life through words and the novels he writes.
